Today, Monday October 2 2023 morning , the ambassador of Uganda to South Africa H.E Amoru Paul has flagged off the Uganda Doves team who won the 2023 AFRICA LUDO CUP OF NATIONS TITLE, the second consecutively in Pretoria ,South Africa last week.
The team has been residing at Villa Boutique Hotel in Pretoria for the entire tournament.
H.E Amoru Paul congratulated the Uganda Doves upon defending the prestigious AL-CON trophy.
” I am so happy that the Uganda Doves managed to win the AL-CON trophy, this is a big milestone. I am going to talk to the Minster of Sports in Uganda so that this beautiful game of Ludo can be supported more.” he said.
The Uganda Ludo Doves defended the ALCON title through the brilliant performance exhibited by team captain Hamza Matovu, Betty Nagadya, Emmanuel Mubiru and Henry Mayanja despite the NCS/Gov’t’s failure to raise funds for the team while had almost hindered them from honouring this year’s championship.
The team is expected to jet in at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda on Tuesday morning at around 2:00 AM aboard Kenyan Airways.
Later on Wednesday , the Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) will conducted a press conference at 10:00 a.m at GREEN KHAD GARDENS next to the ULF head offices in NANSANA.
