2023 National Squash Tournament Boosted by Kinyara Sugar as they injected in shs15 million

Kinyara sugar limited have boost this year’s 2023 national squash tournament scheduled to take place from June, 26 to July, 1, 2023.

At the launch which was held today at Kampala club,  kinyara sugar have injected 15m shiling for the one week tournament.

According to Aldon Walukamba,  the corporate communication manager at kinyara said that ‘As kinyara sugar, they are happy to announce their continued support for sports and we are particularly proud to be embarking on this exciting new title sponsorship of the Uganda Open Squash tournament 2023.”

Aldon,  went on to say that it’s a unique opportunity because , as kinyara sugar , sponsorship of this kind become part of our business in Uganda.”

John Bosco Bamwesigire,  the chairman of Uganda Squash Racket Association,  said that ‘this is the biggest competition this year and has attracted top seeds in and out of Uganda to compete,  this kinyara sugar sponsorship has come at the right time when the club has just recruited young talents in preparation for the next squash world cup and the 2024 olympic games in Paris,  France.”

According to Joweria Namugambe Mpomba,  a female national team squash player said,  we thank for this opportunity where we are going to show up our talent.

Paul Kasirye,  seed number 2 said that they are very happy for this sponsorship and we hope to perform well.

More than 100 participants have registered for this tournament and players will come from Kenya,  Tanzania and Rwanda and players will include; Ivan Waswa,  Paul Kasirye Kadoma,  Rashid Nyombi,  Samuel Kyagulanyi,  Kiwanuka Nickolas,  Marvin Musinguzi and Joweria Namugambe.
