The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football club on Thursday 12th September 2019 unveiled a partnersbip with Coca Cola Beverages Africa under the Rwenzori mineral water brand.
The deal will see Revenue Collectors earning ugshs 60,000,000 for two seasons and 200 boxes of water per month.
Minister of state for Youth who doubles as FUFA third vice President Hon. Nakiwala Kiyingi who represented Fufa at the unveiling ceremony held at URA headquaters-Nakawa appreciates this partnership earned from Rwenzori.
“URA football club serves as an example to other teams because is the most disciplined team, they obey to all the regulations and rules of the game and FUFA.
URA is among the team that complied to the licensing requirements in the first place so am sure that sponsors will achieve their goal”, said Hon. Nakiwala.
However, president of the club Mr. James Kizza said ” we very happy to have Rwenzori on board, the club could not manage to have enough spport from the company ,”Mr. Kizza said.
Ivan Oboth, marketing manager Rwenzori mineral water welcomed the deal with alot of expectations from partners and is hopeful that this deal will improve URA FC.
URA F C finished third in Uganda premier league last season 2018/19 behind Vipers and champions KCCA F C.
