Eddy Kenzo real names Idris Musuuza has won the Best African Entertainer award at the 5th edition of African Entertainment Awards USA 2019 (AEUSA).
This proves that he is undoubtedly one of the most talented musicians on the African continent.
The red carpet ceremony took place in New Jersey, USA at on Saturday Night (Sunday morning Ugandan Times).
Kenzo floored Africa’s finest musicians; Davido, Wizkid and Diamond Platnumz who had been nominated in the same category with him.
While reacting to his success via his face book, Kenzo wrote:
“Congratulations Uganda???? we just won African entertainer of year 2019 at African entertainment awards USA.???”
The 2015 BET winer received international attention after the release of his 2014 single, “Sitya Loss” and an accompanying viral video that featured the Triplets Ghetto Kids.
In total, he has released 4 albums, including most recently, Roots, in 2018. Kenzo has also won numerous national and international awards, including a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in 2018, a BET Award in 2015, and multiple All Africa Music Awards.
AEAUSA was established in New Jersey USA to support, celebrate and uplift African Entertainment.
It uses entertainment as a platform, to showcase an Africa that is united, self-sufficient, and willing, and able to evoke social change that matters most in the communities of Africans all over the world.
