Uganda Rugby Cranes preps for Africa Mens Sevens tournament geared up

The Uganda rugby national team, the Rugby cranes is gearing up for the Africa men’s seven rugby tournament to be held in South Africa this weekend from 8th to 9th November 2019.

The Bosman stadium, Johannesburg will host the African sevens tournament.

The tournament will also act as the African qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics games and 14 teams will battle out for that one golden place.

The second placed team will have another chance to qualify for the Olympics at the recharge tournament in June 2020.

The ten teams that have confirmed participation include; Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda, Madagascar, Zambia, Tunisia, Senegal, Cote de Ivoire, Morocco, and Nigeria.

Cranesemerged third overall in last years tournament just behind Zimbabwe cheetahs and Kenya.

Confirmed team to represent Uganda.

Micheal Wokorach, Philip Wokorach, Pius Ogena, Issac Massa, Jan Minyan, Joseph Aredo, Aaron Ofoyawrath, Adrian Kasita, Kevin Kermundu, James Odong, Levis Owen, Lawrence Sebuliba.
