Munta Royal college retains beach soccer schools championship

The 8th Edition of the National Schools Beach Soccer Championship held on Friday 28th June 2019 at Lido Beach Resort, Entebbe. Munta Royal College from Luwero emerged the winner in the boy’s category for the fourth consecutive time after defeating Taggy High School Entebbe 2-0 in the finals. 10 boy’s team competed for this years trophy.

Taggy High School won the girls category after defeating Vision College in the decider 2-0 to gather 18 points in a round robin format and were crowned champions of 8 team’s tournament for the first time ever.

Uganda Beach Soccer Chairman Deo Mutabazi thanked the participating schools for the sacrifices made to enable students come and expose their talent, the future of beach soccer in the country is bright.

Teams competed include the following:

Boys:

Five St Lawrence schools ( Creamland, London College, Paris Pari, Horizon, and The Academy), Entebbe Central ss, Shanamm High School Bombo, Togy high school and Munta Royayal college.

Girls:

Five St Lawrence schools ( Creamland, London College, Paris Pari, Horizon, and The Academy), Tagy high school Entebbe, Vision college, and Shanamm High School Bombo.
