Police FC and SC Villa played to an entertaining 4 four goal thrilling draw in their Uganda Premier League contest played on Monday at Lugogo

In the game played on Monday, both teams produced an out standing performance but could not provide a winner as it ended in a 2-2 draw.

Bashir Mutanda and Nicholas Kabonge struck for the visitors while Samson Kigozi and Fahad Kizito did likewise for the Cops.

As early as the 15th minutes, Villa took the lead as Mutanda headed in a Derrick Ndahiro freekick.

However, Police who always seem to score in each game, then equalized in spectacular fashion with Kigozi volleying home a Pius Kaggwa left-footed cross.

Two minutes later, Villa regained their advantage off a thunderous Kabonge curling low effort after the midfielder was played in by Ambrose Kirya.

The Jogoos looked to be headed for another victory but Kizito had other ideas, scoring the goal of the day as he riffled an effort into the top corner leaving Villa’s custodian Samuel Kivumbi rooted to the spot hopelessly with 15 minutes to play.

It was an entertaining and end-to-end affair that could have seen both sides score more.

Yayo Lutimba tried his luck from distance but on three occasions, could not test Davis Mutebi in the Police goal. The first and last efforts flew over while the second hit the side netting.

Kirya saw a weak effort head straight into Mutebi’s arms and so did Kabonge.

Late in the contest, substitute Faizo Muwawu flashed a low cross across goal with both Kirya and Ndahiro unable to poke it home.

For Police, Kaggwa forced a finger tip save from Kivumbi before Odong shot over from a well weighted Kaggwa cross.

In the second half, Kigozi shot straight at Kivumbi while substitute Hood Kawesa headed over a Kaggwa corner.

The result sees Villa consolidate third spot with 7 points from 20 games while Police climbs into 11th with 22 points.

In their next fixtures, Police are away to Mbarara City FC on Wednesday while Villa hosts Proline two days later.
