2020 University Football League to attract 20 teams

The University Football League 9th edition has been launched on Tuesday 4th February 2020 at a function held at Kati Kati restaurant Lugogo.

Four more teams has been confirmed to join the 16 teams which played in the competitions group stages last season to make 20 Universities Football league teams.

The 4 added Universities are Muni University, Kabale University, University of Kisubi and MUST who returns after serving a two years ban for not honoring the fixtures.

Defending Champions Uganda Christian University (UCU) has fallen in group B along with IUIU whom they defeat in football boys final at the just concluded Inter University games.

This is the full list of the Draws

Group A:

Kabale, MUST, Kyambogo, University of Kisubi. Group B:

IUIU, Kumi, UCU, KIU.

Group C:

Busitema, Uganda Matry’s, KU, IUEA.

Group D:

Bishop Stuart, St Lawrence U, Mubs, YMCA.

Group E:

Muni University, Gulu University, Bugema Adventist University Nkumba University.

Group leaders and best 3 runners up shall progress to quarter Finals.

Group matches will starting on Friday 7th to May 2020.
