Katwe united FC. head coach, Allan Kabonge said his team is targeting promotion to the premier league this season.

Allan Kabonge who was excited by his team’s best Big League performance ever on Thursday February 20th 2020 when they humble Kataka football club to a 4-1 defeat in a FUFA Big league match played at Lugogo, Star times stadium.

“My team is going in the premier league next season, because we collected our mistakes and we added more good and experienced players.

This is my first win in six matches and it is a big win and I want to take the team in the premier league”, Allan Kabonge said in the post conference.

Katwe united collected their second win of the season after enduring a 7 game win less run since they beat light ss on the opening day 1-0. Katwe united scored four goals against Kataka FC this evening at Star times stadium, Lugogo as FUFA Big league kicked off the season’s second round.

In the 24th minute Solomon Wafula of Katwe united pounded on loose ball after Ronald Kikonyoko’s effort hit the cross bar, 3 minutes after halftime, Legendly left footed defender, Habibu Kavuma doubled the lead for the home from the penalty spot after Kataka’s Emma Item handled the balk in the penalty area, In the 53rd minute, Allan Twbusweke added the third for the Tulibanyivu side after brilliant assist by substitute Billy Nkata before he completed his double in the 65th minute after poor defending by Kataka.

Francis Odando scored a late consolation for Kataka FC but it wasn’t enough to put pressure on on Hon. Allan Ssewanyana’s funded, Katwe utd FC.

The win lifts Katwe utd to 8th position with 8 points on the log with 9 matches played, while Kataka are 7th with 10 points. However, Malaba youth development association (MYDA) humbled Bukedea Town council FC 4-0 in the aElgon group to remain on top of the table.
