” The big challenges of sports in Uganda is taxation, because recently I got a challenge of PAra- Olympian their goods was caught at the airport and they come to me to help but the problem my hands was tied by the law, so am working very hard to see that the sports should be exempt from taxation”, Hon. “Funding requires the attention of infrastructures leaders of secondary schools must be proactive for searching up sponsors but we are in struggle to get raw materials and financial assistance for sport.
We need time to build infrastructures and welcomed all international federations who can help us to build sports infrastructures, and also a problem of to have land title is also the most valuable source we must first acquire land title to build”,Hon Minister added.
Mr. Obua also told the USSSA officials to eager for more sponsors part from Coca cola and fresh dairy, because the government has little money to facility all the challenges that faced the all federation sports.
However, the President of Uganda secondary schools sports association Patrick Okanya appreciate the symposium because it helps them so much.
