Elimu Daniel has bagged in brace in First half to lift up International University of East Africa for a second in their history of Pepsi University football league.
The Kansanga based University has defeated Busitema University 3-2 in game played at Busitema. Otim Geoffrey scored in the 13th minute of the game to give Busitema university a lead but it couldn’t last long after Elimu scoring just two minutes latter. Elimu completed his brace in 26th minute of the game to give IUEA a 2-1 lead at half time. In the 72nd minute IUEA extended the lead through Abraham Shadier before Busitema’s 78th consolation scored by Sanya Vincent.
IUEA registered their first ever Pepsi University football league win defeating Kampala university 2-1 after a full season since they joined the league in 2019.
A win over Busitema helps IUEA to move to the top of group C with 6 points, Busitema standing second with 3 points as Kampala university and Uganda martyrs University in third and fourth respectively.
The league shall go on over the weekend in group A with Kyambogo University hosting Mbarara University of science and Technology on Saturday while University of Kisubi will be hosting Kabale University on Sunday.
