Association National Olympic committee of Africa Mustapha Garafa has hails hailed to contribution made by Uganda Olympics committee president William Blick towards World Olympics movement. In a press briefing which was set in lines with the 55th ANOCA Meeting held at Sheraton Hotel Kampala on 9th March 2020. Garafa handed over the ANOCA Medal of Merit in appreciation of Blick’s Olympics contributions
“Uganda is one of the best Olympic country in Africa in terms of event organizing, administrative handling and in other Olympic matters. I appreciate Blick for the contributions he made in regards of Olympics sports” Garafa said.
Blick who also a member of International Olympics committee is in his last year of his term and he made a tremendous job for Olympics committee to live a route to be followed by his Successor
“I am glad to see this, I started this journey in late 90 now is over 20 years, we efforts doesn’t go for nothing I proud to receive this medal.
“We have done good job I am happy that in the last year of my term we have hosted the ANOCA meeting, I managed to reach IOC membership level, to any who will take over from will have somewhere to start from” Blick is the first person to receive this kind of medal.
