Standard High School Zzan switches to E-Learning

STAHIZA is closed like other education institutions in line with presidential directive due to Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
But leaning must continue as HM/Director Standard High School, Mugisha Justus explains.

“Inline with the President’s directives for control of the spread of covid-19 virus, the school was closed on 19th March 2020.

But in order for learning of our students to continue duling this time, the school has made arrangement for students to access study materials and instructions online.

Students will from today Monday 23rd access subject notes, topical exercises and exams through our website, standardhighschoolzana.com  .

We are uploading notes of different subjects covering topics up to the end of 1st term according to STAHIZA teaching syllabus. For candidate classes, notes of all remaining topics will be provided in accordance with our policy of completing the syllabus by the end of 1st term in candidate classes.
Students are required to transfer the notes to their exercises books in their own handwriting. These notes will be checked by the teachers on the day of reporting back to school.

In addition to subject notes, topical exercises have been or will be uploaded. Students are required to do the exercises in separate exercise books. These will also be checked on the day of reporting back.

For candidate classes, the mid term exams, that had not been sat have also been uploaded. Students are expected to sit these exams and send back scanned scripts for marking by email to the adress indicated on the exam paper. Students are advised to download a cam scanner application on their smart phones to enable them easily scan the answer scripts.

For the none candidate classes. A set of mid term exam will soon be uploaded with instructions. This must be treated like the mid term exams for candidates above.

WhatsApp contacts of subject teachers have been uploaded on the system. Students and parents a like are encouraged to consult with them online.
We strongly advise against physical consultations as this might spread the virus.

As we indicated in a circular, parents are requested to enable students to access either a desktop computer or a laptop computer or an iPad or at worst, a smart phone and access to internet and data. Additionally, we request you to provide a condusive environment for study at home.

We are open to advice on how we can make this e-learning better, please do not hesitate to advise us. Meanwhile, our team of experts are busy and will come up with technological solutions that will make the learning experience better.

Covid 19 has claimed more than 13000 lives and has also affected more than 317000 people as per the Sunday 22nd March midnight.
