The ruling NRM party has warned its members who violate covid 19 rules and guidelines as well as those who engage in electoral violations a head of party primaries to be held on 04th this week.
This has revealed by part electrical commission boss Dr Tanga Odoi, saying they have come to know that there are pre electoral commission and covid 19 violation acts in some areas across the country like Ssembabule, Koboko, Hoima, Iganga, Sheema, Rwwmpara, Toro among others which are contrary to the electoral laws.
“In areas where there are acts against electoral laws and covid 19 guidelines, elections can be suspended especially in Ssembabule, He said”.
Its on the same note where Tanga says no body has mandate for the deletion and entering of party members in the voting register insisting that, they are to use verified registers by the party electoral commission, however Tanga urged district and village registrars not to make any more deletion which is likely to cause chaos prior, during and after primaries.
The party primaries will kick off with parliamentarians this week on 04th with district women legislators by lining up method as its was earlier agreed by the party.
Tanga says tallying centers will be on villages, however official declaration of final results will be done on district level.
