Sam Ssimbwa appointed the new head coach of FUFA Big League side Kitara Football Club according to the latest reports.

The experienced and proven tactician has been heavily linked to Maroons FC but surprisingly he has agreed to join the Masindi based outfit.

Early this week, Kitara suspended their coach, Mark Twinamasiko for a period of two months.

Ssimbwa has been out of job since leaving URA FC in August last year.

His immediate task will be to help the team win promotion to Uganda Premier League next season. They currently lead the 16 table in the second division with 31 points in 15 games.

Despite losing Patrick Kaddu to Gor Mahia in this transfer window, the club has ably filled the void by recruiting George Ssenkaaba, Paul Mucureezi and Godfrey Lwesibawa.

Ssimbwa has formerly coached clubs like URA FC, SC Villa, Express FC where he won the premier league title, KCCA FC, Tooro United FC, Sofapaka FC among others.
