Kisugu utd disqualified, SC Villa to replay Bul FC as Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16 draws held

Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 draws held today Tuesday February 2023 at FUFA headquarters, Mengo.

Former Cranes and KCC goalkeeper Sadiq Wassa presided over the draws for the round of 16, which will be played between 11 and 17 ,March 2023.

During his speech ,Sadiq thanked FUFA for giving him an opportunity like this and appeals to FUFA also to look for other ex-internationals, to give them opportunity like this.

Also on the function was third vice president of FUFA, Hon. Nakiwala Kiyingi and Competitions director, Hajati Aisha Nalule.

Defending Champions Bul FC who had early defeated Villa in the round of 32 match played at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru, are directed to replay game, where the FUFA judicial committee decided for the replay due to Villa’s goal which was disallowed during the game. Whereas, the Kampala region league based club, Kisugu Utd who had also eliminated Paidha Black Angel in their round of 32 tie were disqualified after being found guilty for fielding unlicensed players.

The round of 16 draws were as follows;

KCCA vs Mbarara City

Wakiso Giants vs Vipers

Police vs Ndejje university

Express vs Paidha Black Angel

Calvary vs Kitara

Adjumani vs Bunyarugulu

Onduparaka vs Bul /SC Villa

Bright Stars vs Kiyinda Boys
