Students To Watch Bika Finals at a Discounted Entrance Fee, Haji Magala Confirms

The Bika Football and Netball Committee [BIFONEC] held first preparatory meeting for the final on Wednesday 1st, March 2023 at Bulange Mengo and the chairperson of the committee confirmed a number of developments.

The one of the eye catching development that was revealed by the Bika Football and Netball Committee (BIFONEC) chairperson, Hajji Sulaiman Magala was the discount on the entrance fee for students.

At this event, the football final will be played between 7 time champions, Lugave and Ndiga after the third place playoff game between Ffumbe and Kkobe at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku on Saturday 11th March 2023.

Whereas, in Netball, Ngeye will play against Mmamba Gabunga in the final while, Lugave and Nnyonyi Nyange will play for the third place play off.

And the entrance fee will be 10000/- and 20000/- ordinary and VIP respectively but the chairperson revealed that students once appear on Wankulukuku gate while in school uniform will only pay a 50/- of the entrance fee , which means, they will pay 5000/-.

Hajji confirmed this while addressing media about the preparations of the 2023 finals.

“I can reliably say that the preparations for the finals are almost complete, just come on Saturday 11th and witness the good game, encourage everyone to come and watch and fill Wankulukuku to capacity, the entrance fee is 10000/- and 20000/-, I encourage schools to bring students and support their clans, students in Uniform will on give as small money, just 5000/-, we believe they can afford that.” Says Hajji Sulaiman Magala

“I would also like to appreciate all the clans that will be playing for patiently waiting for this moment and I request the clans to give us the beautiful game that will make Buganda people happy.” he added.

Dr. Sarah Nkonge the vice chairperson (BIFONEC) humbly requested all clan heads to help in mobilizing all the possible support to their respective clans

“We need numbers and a very colourful final and we can only achieve this if we join hands so I humbly request all clan members headed by the clan heads to give the possible support to their clans I believe it is very possible to get partners and sponsors.”

In attendance was the (BIFONEC) secretary Gerald Katamba and Mansoor Kabugo the technical director.

In the same meeting the prize money was also revealed

The winner in football will walk away with 9 million Uganda Shillings, finalist will get seven millions Shillings, third will take home five million shillings and the fourth is to get three million shillings.

In Netball the winner will get seven million Shillings, runners up five million Uganda Shillings, third will walk away with three millions 

The committee also pledged to give 500000/= shillings to all the participating clans to cater for transport and lunch.

Abubaker Mayanja leads the top scorers chart with ten goals

He is followed by Dan Sserunkuma and Charles Bbale both tied on nine goals, Sserunkuma is expected to play for Ndiga clan in the final.

Netball

Winner- 7 million shillings
Runners up-5 million shillings
3rd- 3 million shillings
4th- 1 million shillings
