The nominees for the best sports personalities for the month of March,are out.This time,seven different sports discipline including Boxing,Table Tennis,Darts, Woodball, Rally, Rugby, Darts and Football and the awarding ceremony will be held on Tuesday 4 April next week, at the venue which is yet to be confirmed.
Football
In football the three nominees are, David Owori, for his effort to help SC Villa to gain second position in UPL, Laban Tibita of Busoga Utd for helping his club to overcome URA in a 2:1 win victory in the SUPL and Rodgers Mato who saved Uganda Cranes from losing double to Tanzania as he scored the nly a goal in a 0-1 victory away to keep the Cranes hopes of 2023 Afcon qualification on Tuesday this week.
Rally
Joshua Muwanguzi who won the just concluded late Jacob Oulanya Memorial championship is the favourite to win this category and other nominees are, Yasin Nasser and Jas Mangat.
Boxing
The new ABU championship, Latib Muwonge is the favourite to win this boxing accolade and other nominees are, Kassim Murungi and Bruce Kimbugwe.
Woodball
This category has three nominees who include; Thomas Kedi, Juma Ssembuusi and Joyce Nalubega.
Table Tennis
This category has three nominees who include; Parvin Nangonzi, Jemimah Nakawala and Ankunda Samuel.
Rugby
This also has three nominees including; Eric Tolit of Buffaloes, Collin Kimbowa of Kobs and Pius Ogena also of Kobs.
Darts
Three nominees in this category which include; Sarah Makanga, Henry Job Oddi and Bosco Lepi.
