The two title contenders, SC Vipers, KCCA FC drop points

Maroons FC 2-2 Vipers SC – Prison Grounds, Luzira.

Blacks Power 1-1 KCCA FC – Akibua Memorial Stadium.

URA FC 2-1 Wakiso Giants – Mehta Sports Stadium, Lugazi

SC Villa 1-0 Bright Stars – Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku

Both SUPL giants, Vipers SC and KCCA FC dropped points in their away games of Maroons and Blacks Power respectively.

Vipers had a 2-2 draw with Maroons with Maroons getting the equalizer in the finishing minutes.

Milton karisa who has just been returning from an injury opened the score for Vipers in the 8th Minute though Fred Amaku didn’t allow the lead to last long as he equalised in the 18th minute to seal the half time score

Karisa restored back the Venoms in the 68th minute before Nicholas kigozi headed late to deny Vipers Maximum points.

The results leaves Vipers in the 4th place with 29 points , 11 behind table leaders SC Villa though having 4 less games.

Maroons moved to 6th place with 27 points from 20 games.

On the other side in Lira, Blacks Power had a 1-1 draw with KCCA at Akibua Memorial Stadium, Lira.

Robert Eseru gave Blacks Power an early lead in the 7th minute after KCCA FC’s Haruna Lukwaga lost possession in his own half to Dennis Otim who released Eseru.

Blacks Power had some chances to double their lead but goalkeeper Derrick Ochan was on his best to save the Visitors.

In the 37th minute, Dennis Iguma headed home from Allan Okello’s corner kick to earn KCCA a point.

KCCA FC had some chances to change the score though Muhammed Shaban, Usama Arafat, and Saidi Mayanja weren’t clinical.

The results leaves KCCA in the 2nd place with 37 points, 3 below table leaders SC Villa though having 2 less games.

Blacks Power remained 2nd last with only 16 points from 20 games
