Onduparaka succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in the Startimes Uganda Premier League lunch time kickoff.

Goals from Marvin Nyanzi, Norman Ogik and Moses Aliro inspired Wakiso Giants to their first victory of the second round.

The Purple Sharks end their eight games winless run this year.

For Onduparaka, the result sinks them even more to Relegation.

They are now nine points below the red zone with eight matches to the end of the campaign.

The hosts had a dream start to the game, Nyanzi broke the deadlock in the first minute.

In the 42nd minute, Ogik doubled the host’s lead to punish his former side.

Aliro added his name on the scoresheet after scoring from the spot after he was fouled in the area in the 76th minute.

The Caterpillars barely threatened and the early goal disorganised them and they had no way back into the game.

Wakiso Giants are 7th on the log with 30 points after 23 matches while Onduparaka remain 15th with 13 points in 22 matches.

They will both return to action on Saturday 28th April, Wakiso Giants will take on Express at Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku while Onduparaka will host Arua Hill at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium.
