Mr. Sam Engola, the Presidential Advisor for Lango Zone, accompanied Dr. Balaam Barugahare Ateenyi to launch the MK Movement chapter in Lango Sub-region at Lira Mayor’s garden.

Addressing the media at Lira Hotel on Monday, May 1, 2023, Balaam said they have commissioned their structure and laid foundations for all the villages in Lango Sub-region across the ten districts. He urged Omara Atubo, Hon. Cecilia Ogwal Atim Dokolo MP, MP Okot Ogong, and Ben Wacha to head the council of elders in Lango for the MK Movement team.

While addressing the media from Lira Hotel, Sam Engola welcomed MK to Lango on behalf of the people of Lango. He also said that President Milton Obote came into leadership at the age of 35, and when Adoko Nekyon became a minister in 1962, he was only 28 years old. “MK selected me to be the patron not because of anything but because I need peace,” said Sam Engola.

Ojok Oyite Isaac, the MK Movement coordinator for the Lango sub-region at the national level, said today that he has cleared doubts that the team does not exist in Lango.

There are now two known teams of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba in Lango, with the popular team known as Original MK Army, headed by Akena Rolex Patrick, Ebong Walter, and Odongo Lango, among others.

Recently, at Garden Inn, Team Original Muhoozi disowned information circulating in the public that Gen Muhoozi was visiting the Lango Sub-region and blamed masqueraders.
