Cleophus Fiat and Noordin Bunjo scored goals in the second half to inspire Soltilo Bright Stars to a 2-0 win over Busoga United in the early kick off at Kavumba.

Both sides played out a dull first half with Bright Stars having more serious goal attempts but Fiat broke the deadlock at the start of the second half.

Fiat was on the receiving end of the ball following Warren Buule’s header from Bunjo’s well delivered corner kick in the 49th minute.

Bunjo made it 2-0 with a wonderful low drive after being set up by Kasinde in the 69th minute.

Busoga were reduced to 10 men after defender Benon Tahomera was sent off by referee Shamirah Nabadda for a second bookable offense on Sharif Nsereko in the added minutes.

Bright Stars are now 9th on 32 points while Busoga remained 13th with 23 points.

Both teams will face Wakiso Giants in their next games. Busoga host Wakiso Giants on 12th May while Bright Stars will visit them four days later.
