Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held further talks over the past few days with former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann concerning their managerial vacancy.

Spurs have been without a permanent manager since Antonio Conte was sacked following a 3-3 draw away at bottom side Southampton in March – a result which led to the Italian boss publicly criticising the players and the club’s hierarchy.

Conte’s assistant Cristian Stellini took the reins for a period until a humiliating 6-1 loss at St James’ Park against Newcastle United, leaving former player Ryan Mason now in charge.

According to Sky Sports News, Spurs have held more talks with Nagelsmann over the possibility of him becoming manager at the North London club, with the former Bayern boss keen to know how much say he would have on transfers.

The report adds that despite further talks no agreements or commitments have been made yet, with Nagelsmann said to want to take his time in deciding whether Spurs is the right destination for him.

Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso and Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim are also understood to be in the frame to take over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Caretaker boss Mason will guide his men through a clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, when Spurs will be looking to avoid going five games without a win in the Premier League.
