Prisons Emerged Champions Of The 12 Ndejje University Woodball Championship as team Uganda named

The 12 edition of Ndejje University woodball tournament ended at Ndejje university main campus in Luwero as Prisons woodball club emerged champions for the third time in row. Prisons emerged winners after winning men’s senior category.

In mix doubles, Bugema university Mukasa and Nabada, won gold medals as Mutyaba and Amoding of Public Service won silver while Masiga Jackson and Babirye won Bronze.

Overall women, Bugema university won gold, Unik, won silver and Public service won Bronze.

TEAM UGANDA NAMED FOR WORLD CUP

15 members were named for team Uganda woodball for the beach woodball world cup due to take place from 27 July to 31 at Malaysia.

The tournament was meant to take place in 2020 and 2022 was postponed due to covid-19 pandemic and later postponed to this year.

The 15 team member comprise of 6 male players , 6 female players and three officials.

The team will lead by,male captain,Atamba Onesmus and female captain,Mukoova Juan.Here is the full team

Men-Atamba Onesmus,Robert Mutiibwa,Ronald Mulindwa,Michael Musaazi,Israel Muwanguzi and Thomas Kedi.

Women-Joan Mukoova,Christine Birungi,Florence Mukoya,Lilian Zawedde,Jackie Naula and Joyce Nalubega.

Team manager – Orone Loyce Grace

Head coach – George Isabirye

Assistant coach –Eric Enabu.

In the last beach woodball world cup,Uganda emerged runnersup.

On naming the at Ndejje University, the Uganda Woodball Federation president Paul Mark Kayongo said that this time Ugandans have hope on you so go and win us more gold medals that you emerged champion.
