Kataka FC long serving goalkeeper Eduard Kasibante announces departure from the club this summer

Goalkeeper Edward “Kasiman” Kasibante has left Kataka Football Club with immediate effect after six years of diligent service.

Mbale. Kataka FC long serving shot stoper Eduard Kasibante has declared himself leaving the Mbale based Big League side where he has spent Six and Half years for greener pastures.

The former Uganda U17 Clubs player joined The Lufumbe in January 2017 from Kampala Central DFA 4th division league side then, Kampala City All Stars FC where he began his football career.

He was also signed by KCCA Soccer Academy to play in the FUFA Juniors League (U-17), later joined Sports Club Victoria University before returning home to Kampala City All Star FC.

Besides now football, he is also engaged in the FUFA Beach Soccer with the 2022/23 season 4th position side, Makindye Ssabagabo (MS) Sand Lions Beach Soccer Club.

The 25 year old goalkeeper stay at the club up to Tuesday 20 June 2023 morning when he pronounced himself leaving the club with immediate effect through his social media platforms(Facebook page, tweeter and WhatsApp) stating that:

Dear kataka FC Family;
“I am writing this to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the time of 6years I have spent with you, as a family it has been a hard time for me this decision that I must announce my departure from my Kataka FC family but as a man I have to do it for the good of all of us.

“During my time with the club I have had a chance of playing alongside the most talented athletes in the sports, I also given chance to represent the mighty Bugisu Province in the FUFA Drum as well as creating friends.’

“The bond that I have with family will last for a lifetime and am proud to have been part of the rich history and tradition of this great club.”

“I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to the fans for their endless support, Love and loyalty throughout my time there, your passion and dedication have been a source of inspiration for me and the team.”

‘I would also like in a special way thank the management headed by Mr. Latif Mafuko adopting me as your own son and every thing rendered in me, you have really been good people”.

I will always look back on my time with Kataka FC team with fondness and appreciation. I am grateful for the opportunities that the club Kataka has provided me and for the memories that I will cherish for years to come”. Kasibante concluded.

Kasibante won the Mbale Super Eight tournament in 2022 and led the team to the play-offs in the run to the promotion to the Uganda Premier League.

Kasibante is like to the Move to Kenyan Premier league side, Tursker FC, long time admirers URA FC and SC Villa.
