National novices boxing championship 2019 in high gear, slated to start on Thursday 1st August.

National novices boxing championship 2019 is slated for This Thursday 1st to Thursday 8th August at Kamwokya police ground in Kampala.

More than six hundred (600) boxers from forty (40) clubs are expected to participate in this year’s national novices Boxing championship.
Uganda boxing Federation (UBF) president Mr. Moses Muhangi, insisted in the press conference held at the national council of sports headquarters in Lugogo on Monday 29th July 2019 that. “This championship is going to be unique in terms of organisation compared to the recent championship and we expected a
competitive tournament come Thursday 1st August 2019, it is going to be an outdoor event, and our goal is to take the sport to the local people who normally support boxing, “Muhangi said”.

We expect safety and better contest because we are co –coordinating
with Uganda police of Kamwokya to provide security”, Moses Muhangi noted.

The national novices boxing championship will consist of all categories in all weights and in all in ages, both seniors and juniors. The championship is expected to start on Tuesday 30th July with medical check up and weigh in on Wednesday 31st July of all boxers for safety of their lives and knowing bout weight categories.

On other hand, Uganda boxing federation have unveiled a partner, bet on who have promised to invest in boxing by support all the activities in of the Federation by providing them with training equipments worthy for twenty (20) million Ug shillings.
