Omwendwa unveiled at URA FC

Four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA FC have completed the signing of Arua Hill SC goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa.

The custodian has signed a two-year employment contract, and is the recruitee goalkeeper in the current transfer window after Denis Otim.

The pair’s arrival stamps further that goalkeeper and custodian Nafian Alionzi’s future at URA is done.

Meanwhile, Omedwa made 22 appearances between 2021 to 2023 and kept 12 clean sheets for Arua Hill.

“I am glad to be here and ready to prove my worth. I thank the club management for the trust they put in me,” he was quoted by URA media upon signing.

“URA FC is a big club and playing here comes with a lot of responsibility which I am aware of. I know competition I alot but I will work hard to ensure I help the club achieve it’s goals each I get the chance to play.”

He becomes the ninth signing of the club this summer after teenagers Kisiriko Denis Luzige and Kisolo John Innocent.

The club has also signed Amis Bwangani and Godfrey Sekibengo as well as Aliro Moses Okabo, Ibrahim Wammanah, Denis Otim and Norman Namanya.
