After the Kabaka of Buganda His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II made reshuffles in His cabinet, the Buganda Prime minister Owek Charles Peter Mayiga has met the new cabinet to highlight on issues concerning their responsibilities during their service.

This is the second time this cabinet is sitting ever since it was appointed by the King, after the first one sitting two weeks back being led by the first Deputy prime minister Owek Haji Kigongo Twaha Kawaase.

Speaking to the members of the new cabinet, the Katikkiro started by welcoming the new members on the cabinet and arged them to work together with the old members to see that they take on their service as specified.

Owek. Mayiga noted that it is the role of the cabinet members to work together to fulfil their duties that will help to develop Buganda kingdom.

He discouraged the cabinet from engaging in conflicts and expressing sympathy over things not going on well during their service, saying it will not help them to achieve the kingdom goals but rather to make it lag behind.

He as well commended the retired members of the cabinet for the efforts towards serving the kingdom to see that they fulfill the responsibilities given to them by the king, urging the new members to take their service as an example.

However, Owek Mayiga noted that the cabinet sitting aims at looking at how to work towards the kingdom development, putting into consideration Kabaka’s calls for the development of the kingdom, mantaining and managing the work being done in the kingdom, and to manage the work done by different Buganda Kingdom departments,  for the good of the Kingdom.
