Moises Caicedo has been named on the Chelsea substitutes’ bench for Sunday’s Premier League meeting with West Ham United.

On Monday, the Blues completed the British-record signing of the midfielder from Brighton & Hove Albion, and he begun training with his new teammates earlier in the week.

However, head coach Mauricio Pochettino has opted against tinkering with his midfield and attack after the encouraging performance during the 1-1 draw against Liverpool last weekend.

The only alteration is an enforced one with Malo Gusto taking the place of injured right wing-back Reece James, although Chelsea have the capabilities to switch to a defensive four if required.

Caicedo has taken the place of Andrey Santos on the bench, while Noni Madueke is fit enough to feature among the replacements.

As for West Ham, James Ward-Prowse makes his debut in a central midfield three alongside Lucas Paqueta, who starts despite the ongoing investigation by the Football Association and FIFA with regards to a potential breach of betting regulations.

Pablo Fornals has dropped out of the team that started against Bournemouth in the Hammers’ top-flight opener, with Edson Alvarez also being kept in reserve.

West Ham United: Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Palmieri; Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Paqueta; Bowen, Antonio, Benrahma
Subs: Fabianski, Johnson, Cresswell, Fornals, Cornet, Ings, Alvarez, Ogbonna, Mubama

Chelsea: Sanchez; Disasi, Silva, Colwill; Gusto, Gallagher, Fernandez, Chilwell; Chukwuemeka; Sterling, Jackson
Subs: Bergstrom, Humphreys, Cucurella, Maatsen, Caicedo, Ugochukwu, Mudryk, Madueke, Burstow
