Businessmen and women under kikuubo community have responded towards the Kabaka’s development call through contributing money in luwalo project to help in the smooth running of the kingdom activities to enhance development.

While receiving the luwalo from the kikuubo community, the Buganda prime minister Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga Commended them for a great contribution towards the kingdom development.

He has challenged people who think businesses are only for the educated, saying its the time and effort that you invest in the business that makes it either grow or collapse but not the level of someone’s education.

He has cautioned the people who belong to the kikuubo community to train their children engage in their businesses but not to educate them for only white color jobs as most of the business people do.

He appealed to people who need to get rich in any business to be faithful and trustworthy so that they prosper in their businesses, but those who act otherwise can never develop in their businesses.

However, Owek. Mayiga showed concern over the poor infrastructure in the country which he says is connected to the misuse of the taxes collected from  the citizens.

He expressed  the need for government to get money from business people and use it  fairly so that both the business fraternity and the government gains from the taxes.

He also noted the poor conditions in the hospitals and schools which he says is due to misappropriation of the taxes collected from the citizens. He notes that one way to motivate tax payers is to utilise the taxes they pay for the country’s development.
