Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) led by president Kalule Hussein have on Monday 28 August 2023 released a list of 22 players for the Uganda national Ludo team for men’s side the Uganda Doves and 8 for women’s side the She Doves.
Uganda Ludo Federation is still seeking for financial support for the nation team to make it to this years ALCON where they are the defending champions.
The Federation needs more than UG shs150 million to cater for 16 players, 8 in men’s category and 8 in women’s category but according to the sources NCS general secretary Mr. Patrick Bernard Ogwel has already told the Ludo Federation officials that there is no money for that competition.
But Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) have to continue with their roles of organizing and prepare the teams with the hopes to participate and defend the Africa Ludo Cup of Nations (AL-CON) at the 2023 in South Africa come next month from 27th to 30th September, 2023 as they wait for the minister to intervene.
Mr. Kalule Husein told MS News Uganda that they have finally named 22 players on the national team men’s side , the Uganda doves after a careful selection was made from the outstanding players in different tournaments like National Ludo Super League, league one and Individuals championship 2023;
The selected prayers on the list are to meet the selection and scrutinizing committee chaired by the Vice President for Technical affairs, ULF on Thursday 31st August, 2023 at exactly 11:00am at ULF Head offices Nansana.
The size of the national team (Uganda doves) is expected to be sixteen players, eight (8) for men and eight (8) for women category.
