After the successful display during group stages where Kyadondo emerged as best losers to join other 7 teams in quarter final stage where they will face Buddu FC on 17 September 2023 at Hormisdallen play ground, Gayaza.
Kyadondo fans call for monetary support from the 14 area MPs ahead of their quarterfinal clash against Buddu, according to a group of staunch fans of Kyadondo county FC said that if the MPs are to give back to the community to appreciate them for their voting during the previous election they should come out and contribute money towards the team preparations.
One of the fans, by the names of Peter Lwasa said, if this time our MPs commit support to our team, we shall also answer them during the forthcoming election because we give to those who also give back to us ‘the community.
MEANWHILE, PLAYERS AND MANGEMENT ARE CONFIDENT OF KNOCKING OUT BUDDU
When contacted some players after their Saturday morning training, they were very confident of knocking out Buddu in order to advance to the semi finals.
Last year Kyadondo defeated Buddu at home and went for a draw at Masaka Recreation and this year they were in the same group in which Kyadondo also defeated Buddu at Masaka Recreation and settled for a draw at Hormisdallen.
“Our record over Buddu is good and that’s the reason why am very confident of my team advancing to the semi final in this year’s Masaza cup, those were the statements made by Kyadondo manager, Joseph Mugisha.
According to him, they have been with Buddu in two years, last year and this year in the same group but Kyadondo have never lost any game whereas Buddu have lost two and two draws, this gives Kyadondo advantage against Buddu ahead of quarter finals clash first leg next week at Hormisdallen play ground, Gayaza.
Kyadondo, who finished third behind Buddu to qualify for this level as the best losers will be standing on the services of their players, Derrick Walugembe, Faizal Kyazze, Ramathan Mwanza under their coach Paul Kiwanuka while Buddu will base on the services of Isaac Ofyrowroth, Joel and Sekibengo under their historical coach Simon Peter Mugerwa who is also the tournament defending champion coach as hen won the title with Busiro last year.
Elsewhere, record Champion Gomba Lions FC hosting last year’s third place team, Ssingo FC as Gomba coach Felix Ssekabuza wants to revenge against his former bosses Ssingo, Bulemeezi will be hosting this year’s favourites Buwekula FC, as surprise team Buvuma FC hosting the time champions Mawokota FC .
