Deputy Speaker Tayembwa tours Ruhinda North Constituency on PDM program

As a way of strengthening the public understanding on government programs to see them benefit the people who are meant for them, the Deputy speaker Thomas Tayebwa is using his recess period to monitor various development projects in Ruhindi North Constituency, Mitooma district. In this way, he is holding meeting on parish level with focus on wealth creation mainly on Parish development model.

Tayebwa noted that the meetings have helped him get enough information in the beneficiaries and those who are yet to benefit from the programs. Adding that government wants to see all service delivery gaps fixed so that no one is left behind in the development programs, through making Ruhinda North a model constituency for the implementation of PDM.

He showed hope that according to the testimonies he has so far got from the people of Ruhinda, the programs are going to change the lives of people in the constituency and the whole country, although there are still some challenges associated with the program which he believes are to be resolved.

“I have been in my constituency for the last two days monitoring government programs and engaging the community on wealth creation with a major focus on Parish Development Model as guided by the Rt. Hon. Speaker”

“When speaker Rt. Hon. Anitah Among sent the house on recess. Holding meetings at parish level has helped me pick useful information from both beneficiaries and those who are yet to benefit. “Tayebwa said.

“Apart from a few implementation challenges, the community is overwhelmingly appreciative of this government programme. “He added.

The Deputy speaker has So far I have covered Rutokye Town Council and Kigyende Subcounty and Kanyabwanga Sub County. and he said that, from the feedback I have so far received, PDM is going to change the fortunes of my constituents.
