The world tourism day, Buganda tourism minister asks government to support the tourism sector

The minister of tourism in Buganda Kingdom Owek.  Anthony Wamala has asked government to support people who deal in tourism ventures so that through them it can support and improve on the tourism sector in the country.

This message comes at a time when Uganda joins the rest of the world to celebrate the world tourism day. This day was first celebrated in 1980 and it was organized by the United Nations world tourism organizations.

This day is a highlight for the goodness and importance of the tourism sector in the country such as natural creatures and the manmade creatures which attract tourists that brings in revenue to the country.

Owek. Wamala noted that for the tourism sector to attract more tourists and bring in revenue to the country, it needs to support people who engage in tourism activities so that they can be motivated to make more tourism resources, thereby developing the country.

He added that as the country remembers the world tourism day, people need to embrace it by visiting different tourism centres in the country so that they can be the first to support the tourism sector.

Tourism sector is one of the sectors that help to bring in revenue to the counties all over the world. The United states of America take the first position in highly earning from the tourism sector in the whole world.

America is followed by Spain, France, Thailand, United Kingdom, Italy, Austria and others respectively. Uganda takes the 95th position as it earns 918 US million dollars every year.
