Father Lawrence Mudduse laid to rest at St. Noah Mawaggali Kiyinda Mityana

Catholic Priest Rev Father Lawrence Mudduse Yawe was laid to rest on 29th November 2023 after being involved in an accident on his way back from Kiyinda Mityana Parish as it was celebrating 42 years of existence after being separated from Kampala diocese.

Father Mudduse was knocked by a taxi which was trying to avoid a bodaboda guy who was riding carelessly and bumped into Father Lawrence’s car number UAW 369C at Kyenda village, Hoima road. He was left in acritical condition and died as he was being taken to the hospital.

During a service that was led by the Bishop of Kiyinda Mityana Diocese Bishop Antony Zziwa, the Bishop appreciated the work of Father Mudduse and commended him for utilising the talents the Lord gave him in whatever way possible to serve the him.

The Buganda Prime Minister Owek Charles Peter Mayiga expressed concern over continuous accidents on roads that have claimed people’s lives which are mostly caused by careless driving.
He appealed to whoever responsible to do anything possible to see that the rate of accidents on roads is reduced, starting with people themselves.

Owek. Mayiga commended Father Mudduse for being a kind of priest who respected his religion and at the same time respected his culture which was a good example.
