Bishop of Kigezi Diocese calls upon Christians to take care of people living with HIV/AIDS

The Bishop of Kigezi Diocese The Rt Revrand Gaddie Akanjuna arged christians to extend compassionate care towards people who are affected by HIV so that they give hope in their lives and reduce stigmatisation.

The Bishop mentioned this during a confirmation service at Emmanuel Church of Uganda in Katuna town council, Kamuganguzi Archdeaconry, Ndorwa West County in Kabale district.

Bishop Akanjuna appealed to christians to look at people living with HIV as their own relatives and extend love and care towards them sothat they are given a comfortable life and reduce on the levels of stigmatisation.

He stressed that loving such people is the only way to help them get more hope and work towards achieving their dreams so that they can live a meaningful life as any other normal person.

However, Bishop Akanjuna cautioned people living with HIV to endeavor taking their medication as prescribed by medical workers as proper taking of their medicines helps them to elongate their lives and reach their life dreams.
