Katereke New Life faces first successive defeats after falling to Mutongo FC

Mutungo FC 2-1 Katereke New Life.

Katereke New Life have lost a second game in row at hands Mutongo FC.
In the game played at wet Luzira Prisons ground on Monday 4th December 2023, Host Mutungo FC took the lead two minutes after half an hour mark through Geoffrey Ssali inswing cross finding Kenneth Ssebunya go with it goal.

The game continued with Mutungo FC taking a slit edge over the Junior Sheiks till halftime.

The game returned leading to Mutungo’s second goal scored by Aron Tumusiime just four minutes inside second half.

At 2 goals down Low performing Visiting Katereke New Life played to stay in game faced another shock by losing their creative star player Shafick Kaweesi to injury and replaced by Muhammad Ssempebwa ‘PEEPE’ who also added less impact.

The game stayed unsatisfying for the Visitors until Trover Baale decided to take big heart into penalty area where he got fouled in a forest of legs to win a penalty which well converted by Henry Mukwaya for consolation with 5 minutes to play.

Last week the Kampala regional League new entrants lost their first defeat of the season at home 1-0 to Water FC.
That goes down to records as first successive defeats for Katereke New Life ever since they entered league football.

Having lost two games in row to Water FC and Mutungo FC, More task is ahead facing on form Catida FC at Coffee grounds Bugoloobi on Wednesday while Mutungo FC to return to action against Black Stars on Thursday.
