Werinde Insurance, Liberty life launches Munno Mukabi Insurance

The first Deputy Katikkiro of Buganda Owek Haji Twaha Kawaase has expressed the need for people to take on insurance in their lives to help them get a helping hand during the time of need sothat they dont find life hard in such times.

Owek Haji Twaha Kawaase noted this while he was reprensenting the Katikkiro of Buganda to launch the Munno Mukabi Insurance initiated by Werinde Insurance and Liberty life, which is aimed at helping people save for their health at alow cost.
Owek Kawaase noted that this is the time when the country is being challenged by poor health services which calls for people to save for their health so that they can get proper medical attention incase of any health challenges such as sickness, accidents, permanent total disability, death among others.

Owek Kawaase highlighted the objectives that people need to look at to achieve development such as Protecting their King, division of power under federal system and the kingdom’ s ability to extend services towards its subjects, Unity among people irrespective of religions and political affiliations, among others.

The Second Deputy Katikkiro of Buganda Owek Robert Wagwa Nsibirwa stressed that Munno Mukabi Insurance moves in line with encouraging people to be creative and work towards saving as this directly responds to the king’s directive of being creative to achieve development. He encouraged people to join insurance for the good of their lives and challenged them not to look at Insurance as for the people in high offices but to join the Munno Mukabi insurance since its premiums are favourable for low income earners.

The CEO Werinde Insurance Jennifer Sensuwa extended gratitude towards the king of Buganda for giving them room to start Werinde Insurance in the Kingdom which has given birth to Munno Mukabi Insurance in September this year. She noted that it has been extended to different regions of the country such as Bunyoro, Toro, Mbaale among others. She explained that Munno Mukabi Insurance carters for people from the age of 18 years to 64 years, thereby showing the need for people to join for their own good.

The MD for Liberty Life insurance Danish Mohammed Lubega revealed that many people don’t understand the importance of Insurance yet it is needed in their lives thereby appealing to people to adopt the use of Munno Mukabi Insurance since its premiums are favourable. He added that Munno Mukabi Insurance helps people to get peace of mind that even when they go through challenges, they are assured of something that will come in to solve the challenges, which is insurance.

In the same way, the CEO Insurance Brokers Association Chris Mugisha commended Werinde Insurance for making it possible to carter for the changing needs of the population, as it contributes to the overall well being of people in the society.

The function was as well attended by Insurance regulatory authority of Uganda.
