6 crowned at 2023 Second last edition of the Fortebet Real Stars Sports monthly awards

The awards organized by Real star Sports agency since September 2018 for the best performing Athlete from Sports disciplines with major sporting activities in a month.

For the month of November, The Awards had it’s ceremony hosted at Lazio Restaurant Kololo with 6 sports disciplines including Boxing, Football, Cricket, Rugby, Basketball, and Pool.

In Boxing Muzamir Ssemuddu announced the best ahead of Farahat Manirola and Swalik Kisitu.
Ssemuddu won his only fight of the month against Isaac Zebra Ssenyange Jr of the Zebra Boxing Club.

Therefore this put him top the Light Middleweight category in the Uganda Boxing Champions League hence helping him get into the final of his weight on Boxing Day.

Speaking to the media on a rainy Tuesday morning, a happy Ssemuddu said his target is to top his weight;

“Well Am very happy have collected this award and it gives me courage to stay on top and be nominated once again.” he added

“From here my target is to top my weight in the Uganda Boxing Champions League and take home the belt come 26th December at the finals”

“After winning, that means I will be able to represent a Uganda in all the major Competitions next year” Ssemuddu concluded

In Football Bright Stars’ Nelson Ssenkatuka emerged the Fortebet Real Stars players of the Month winner for the month of November. The forward was on fire during the November and ended with five goals in the Uganda Premier League a tally which enabled him to defeat SC Villa Dual in Norman Angufinduru and Ronald Ssekiganda.

In Basketball Titus Lual Odeke of City Oilers took home the award by beating teammates Fayed Bbaale and Tonny Drilebba after helping their side get to the final tournament of BAL.

For Cricket, Brian Masaba who was among those that helped the Cricket Cranes qualify for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers topped both Alphesh Ramjan and Denish Nakrani.

Rugby was won by Peace Lekuru who came out on top of the men in Aaron Ofoyrwoth who was MVP at the 2023 Safari sevens and Ivan Magomu who shinned bright at the Victoria Cup final.

In the Pool category, Caesar Chandiga who won the 2023 National Men’s pool Open took home the November award to beat Women champion in the same competition Rukia Nayiga and Azali Lukomwa.
All Winners walked off with Prize money and Accolades from award Major sponsor Fortebet and Jude colours Solutions.
