The Archbishop warns people against festive season conflicts in homes

The Archbishop of the church of Uganda Dr. Samuel Steven Kaziimba Mugalu has warned people to be careful about conflicts in homes that mostly arise during the festive season due to different challenges.

He mentioned this while leading the thanksgiving service for 25 years Anniversary for the board chairman of the Nabagereka development Foundation Jeff Sebuyiira and wife Lydia Mpanga.

His Grace noted that people in homes tend to get into conflicts during festive seasons since some of them fail to fulfill their partners expectations and they blame each other. He commended Dr. Jeff Sebuyiira and wife Lydia for being agood example in their marriage.

Buganda Primier Owek Charles Peter Mayiga challenged people to work together towards having successful and happy marriages as marriage is one of the pillars that help to run the Kingdom.

Owek Mayiga noted that marriage doesnot move in a smooth path but if both partners sit together to discuss their marriage issues, things move. He warned married partners against relying on social media news and all sorts of information from social media since it has led to misunderstandings and conflicts among people.

He as well challenged married partners to invest in themselves, support their children’s education and also take good care of their families so that they their families have a brighter future.

This function was attended by the Nabagereka of Buganda Sylvia Nagginda, former Buganda Katikkiro Owek Dan Muliika Second Deputy Katikkiro of Buganda Owek Robert Wagwa Nsibirwa, Owek David Mpanga, Buganda County chiefs, Assistant Bishop of Kampala Diocese Bishop Hannington Mutebi, other representatives from Buganda and the central government among others.
