MR TAKE-OVER TAKES IT AS HISTORY MADE IN AMATEUR BOXING

The second edition of the boxing champions league came to an end yesterday at a full packed UMA,show hall Lugogo with history in the amaetur boxing where winners in different weights in elite were given belts for the first time in the history of amateur boxing in Uganda. Over 25 bouts were registered during the finals and  Muzamiru Ssemuddu who commonly known as Mr Take-Over of kololo boxing club vs Broline Kimbugwe of cobap boxing in light middleweight was the main and fight of the day where boxers show out skills and exchanged punches.

Muzamiru, who was escorted to the ring by his boss, John Blaq (musician) came out as victorious after the five rounds with 4:1 decision.

“So long am still in champions league, this is my weight, have forced boxers to vacate this weight and am still forcing others”, Mr Take-Over states after the fight.

Other fights of the day, Kasim Mulungi of east coast boxing club was too good for Jonathan Kyobe of lukanga boxing club in feather weight. The S4 vacist from City high proved Kyobe wrong, who complained in the last fight about unfairness judgement.

Joshua Tukamuhebwa of east coast boxing club who is also the bombers captain delivered what was expecting from him by finishing the fight quickly after knocking down comedian Paul Raskara of KCCA boxing club in light welterweight, Batte Nuhu of cobap defeated Jonathan Waswa of UPDF, who is also the son of former bombers captain Mike Ssekambembe, Solomon Geko of lukanga defeated Michael Komakech of east coast in heavy weight, Arafat Kibirige of lukanga defeated UPDF’s Jamidali Adam ,Marvin Omondi of makindye defeated Trevor Mudenya of east coast in bantamweight, Emily Nakalema of Katwe walkover Erina Namutebi of UPDF in welterweight, Kemis Ibrahim of mutajjazi defeated Shakur Mugambe of lukanga in featherweight elite, Jimmy Adriko of KCCA defeated the favorites to win this Onen Jafar of east coast in light weight, Yusuf Nkobeza of nakawa defeated Alfred Ojok of UBF select, Frank Kasozi of nakawa walkover Shafick Mawanda of Kalinabiri in fly weight.

Sharif Bogere, a former bombers captain and a former boxer in the Floyd Mayweather promotion was among the guests at the finals.
