Malaysian based sports wear manufacturer Young Young international and Uganda Badminton Association got into two years marriage for national team.
The relationship was confirmed at kits handover held in Bokoto on 23rd December 2023.
While addressing the media Young Young representative in Uganda Under Trendy Sport Lucy Nyachwo committed to fully support the Uganda Badminton National team with all needed kits. “We are not only here to benefit Young also Ugandan must get benefitted in Young’s being in the Country that’s why we are starting the partnership, Primarily it is for National team but it can go beyond at times since the deal also has a grassroot development aspect, and also at necessary tomes we will be adding in cash form when athletes excels at International events”
The deal which is worth Millions of money shall cater for wearing National team players at every international badminton event.
Uganda Badminton Association Chairperson Florence Nakamya applauded the partnership to be a milestone which came with an easy for national team tasks “this is the first time to have national team kits sponsor,
We have been picking for what is available, we have not been with the national team Uniform, we have been bagging now we are sure of the Kit for two years”
The Association received full kits equipment for official events and training.
The young International brand Ambassador in Uganda also a Uganda National team player Husin Kobugabe highlight the deal to bring eases to players “Always we have been bothered by what to wear now the worries is over, now our task is to go for medals because the pressure is now decreased”
The partnership with a clause for extension for further years after two years has got Official following unformal period of the relationship.
