Problem-stricken Arua Hill SC thumped 7-1 by Kitara FC in the Uganda Premier League match played at the Masindi Playgrounds on Thursday December 28th.

The Leopards showed up on enemy territory with eight players and no substitutions and typical goalkeeper.

Their manager, Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, and his assistant, Ahmad Borini, were a no-show as well, with Tonny Ssenabulya Kintu in charge.

A brace from George Ssenkaaba and a goal each from Denis Omedi, Jude Ssemugabi, Kipper Luwalo, Living Kabon and Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye ensured the hosts cruised to an easy win on the evening.

Ironically, Arua Hill captain Gadafi Wahab, who already announced he’ll leave the club at the end of the first round, grabbed his side’s consolation.

The game not only exposed Arua Hill’s glaring struggles but also the amateur state in which the Uganda Premier League and Ugandan football at large is run.

Meanwhile, the thrashing didn’t do the guests any good, as they stayed rock-bottom with five points in 13 matches.

They will be keen to have a number of their problems dealt with in their next match as they host Express FC on January 3.

On the other hand, Kitara, who ascended to second on the log with 25 points, will be away to Busoga United a day earlier.
