Since some districts did not engage in FDC structure elections last year, the party has taken different steps to engage the party leaders and supporters around different districts in the country to prepare them for structure elections.
In this, the FDC Chairman Hon. Jack Sabiiti on 21/01/2024, spent the whole day engaging with leaders and supporters from Rubirizi, Bushenyi, Buhweju, Mitooma and Sheema in an engagement that took place in Ishaka town.
These are part of the districts which for one reason or the other, had not elected their leaders during the last structure elections. The meeting made a number of resolutions centered around strengthening and building the FDC.
One key resolution is to go back and mobilise people to carry out elections when the party Electoral Commission releases the roadmap.
The leaders also agreed to put away all differences that could have been affecting the party within their districts and move forward as one Uganda One People so that the party stands as one family again.
