Police warns against social media misuse, confirms the arrest of Musana, the one behind demeaning Buganda Kingdom

Police has warned the public and social media users against the misuse of computer and social media which has left the victims in astate of trauma and disappointment.

This comes at a time when one, identified as Ibrahim Musana who has been behind the demeaning posts against Buganda Kingdom, the Katikkiro and other Dignitaries in the country was arrested by police on 17/02/2024 after the Kingdom filed a case on 13/02/2024.

Police spokesman person Fred Enanga has confirmed that police has Ibrahim Musana in custody, a Ugandan and resident of Kawuga Mukono who had made it a habit to disrespect Buganda Kingdom through his social media posts.

Enanga added that Musana is to face charges such as computer misuse, misuse of the languages on the computer, promoting hatred among the citizens, demeaning Buganda kingdom and inciting violence among the people.

Enanga warned the public that police and other security agencies will not let people with their own intentions to cause harm to others through insulting and demeaning them through social media, as this promotes hatred and incites violence among people.

Tik toker Frank Abaho has apologised to the Kingdom for Ibrahim’s act and asked government to punish Ibrahim Musana accordingly as this will discourage other social media users from doing a similar act.

This is the same time when Buganda kingdom has won a case against Prince Kimera who filed a case against the Kabaka of Buganda and the government for the properties returned to the kingdom which he said that not all of them belonged to the Kabaka.
