Uganda Swimming Federation has approves 3 clubs in Otters, Formidable and Black Panther swimming club to full membership after two years of provision licences.

In an annual general assembly held at Uganda Olympics committee on Saturday 16th March.

The federation also approved a budget of over 1 billion for a year which has major events including Olympics as the federation president Moses Mwase explains, “last our budget was slightly below one a billion but this year it to grow beyond 1 billion because we are having a busy year ahead allot of major activities, like Olympics, expanding our Secretariat, and getting much in capacity building”

At the same meeting also decided to stop schools memberships as the federation aims to deal with clubs only in order to comply with new World Swimming Federation and New national sports bill.

“we have approved three clubs after passing our standards during their provisional process and they have been fully complying, now we are targeting for more clubs since we starting only to deal wit clubs and we advise schools to open up clubs to ease the continuation of our relationship”

The assembly was graced by most clubs and National Council of Sports got represented by administrator James Kasumba who advised USF Members to take the same path of mother federation.

“USF is among the best federation in terms of compliance with NCS rules and that is why we do everything to support its programs, I argue it’s members to copy and comply with federations standards, It’s sad that at some times new members tries to over ride old members and some member only care about their compliance at only electro years but it is a task which must be followed whether it is electro or none electro year”
