Thousands of people participated in the Buganda King’s 69th birthday run entitled the Kabaka birthday run 2024.
This run has been set off by the Nalinnya Lubuga Agnes Nabaloga representing the Kabaka of Buganda His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II in Mengo.
This year’s birthday run is to continue with the campaign to fight against the spread of HIV/AIDs in the country for the well being of People’s health in Buganda and around the whole country.
In His message which was delivered by the Nalinnya, The Kabaka called upon His subjects to continue protecting themselves against HIV/AIDs for the country’s well being and development.
However, He challenged counsellors to work hard to give more hope to the people living with the virus as away of overcoming the virus.
The Buganda premier Owek Charles Peter Mayiga applauded people for turning up in big numbers and encouraged them to continue actively participating in the Buganda Kingdom activities for it’s development.
The Kabaka’s birthday run 2024 has been ran under the theme ” Men are stars in the fight against HIV/AIDs to save the Girl child.
