Wakiso Region girls football power houses, St. Noa girls School and Rinnes secondary school have again stall toller at the ongoing national regional qualifiers.
Both teams, St Noa Girls and Rinnes Secondary School waiting to faceoff in the girls football final set for Sunday 14 April 2024. Following the two sides reaching the stage losing any point having won all their fixtures right away from group stages.
In Semifinal St Noa Girls defeated Hope Secondary School 2-0 at Mt Olives SS Kakiri, while Rinnes Secondary School secured their perfect record through Nakawuki Trina and Nabukeera Lilian goals that gave them a 3-0 win over Aiden College Ndejje in the game held at St Charles Kikubampanga.
Earlier in the day St. Noa had beaten Agro Link 6-1 and Rinnes ss had eliminated Kakungulu High school with a 2-0 win in their quarterfinal encounter, while in the other quarterfinal games, Hope Secondary School beat Standard High Zzana 1-0 and Aiden College defeated Taggy High school on penalties following a nil all draw.
Following Friday 12th April action, the championship will climax on Sunday April 14th with action from the finals of all games and categories, there after champions will be crowned and qualified teams will also be awarded with national invitation latters.
Meanwhile in boys football, quarterfinals and semifinal will be played tomorrow Saturday April 13th, starting with quarterfinal games in the morning as per the draws held.
