Eric Dhaira has joined newly promoted big league side Katwe United on a one year contract.

Dhaira, a young brother to former Cranes shot stopper late Abel Dhaira, has been playing his trade at Maroons FC for the past two seasons.

Dhaira who is a son of the legendary goal keeper Bright Dhaira, joins the Makindye West MP Hon. Allan Ssewanyana funded outfit after his two year contract with the Prison Warders expired at the end of last season.

He also had a stint at IBV Vestmannaeyjar in Iceland, the same club where his late brother Abel played by the time of his death.

Dhaira adds up to the long list of new recruits at Katwe United who notably include former Express trio Sulaiman Jjingo, Billy Nkata and Richard Gaza Kigozi.

Katwe United have also signed Emmanuel Asiku, Denis Okoth, Brian Walukagga and Vincent Kimezze.
