According to community needs assessment survey conducted between December last year and February this year shows that many families have been hit by social economic marginalisation resulting to many children to drop out of school to look for other means to survive.

As for Nansana is now growing to be more residential than in the past years. Many families have relocated and resided in these areas, causing the number of children to increase and the outbreak of street crimes and insecurity to highly increase.

The police stations and the NGO’s have been highly established but still much effort is needed to emphasise positive change according to the people living in those areas.

As for the police they try to implement ways to stop insecurity and mostly to protect children and their rights most of the people especially some parents are irresponsible and uncooperative.

And as found out from the CEO of GISRF (Global Information and Social Resource Foundation) Mr. Nduhira Assuman that negligence of children by parents is so high but, they are working passionately with some parents and residential authorities to empower them with skills, education and protection.

What could be done to stop this negligence is the question everyone is asking.
